We accept new recruits throughout the training year (September to June). We meet for regular training on Wednesday nights from 6:30-9:00 PM. The best part for parents is that Sea Cadets is FREE TO JOIN.
The Sea Cadet Corps Program is focused on maritime activities derived from the Canadian Navy and the civilian maritime community.
Sea cadet specific activities include:
- Seamanship/Rope Work
- Sailing
- Small Craft Operations
- Ship Operations
- Royal Canadian Navy and Civilian Maritime Community Familiarization
Did you know that the aim of the Cadet program is to develop in youth aged 12 to 18 with the attributes of good citizenship and leadership, promote physical fitness, and stimulate an interest in sea, land, or air activities of the Canadian Forces? Cadet’s offers youth aged 12-18 the opportunity to learn, serve, and to advance themselves at his or her own pace. Summer camps are also available in various fields of study. They are held across Ontario and Canada, and offer a fantastic experience to not only learn new things, but also meet other people and make lifelong memories!

CF 1158 APPLICATION FOR MEMBERSHIP IN THE CANADIAN CADET ORGANIZATIONS
(Please print on Legal size paper)
This is the physical application form to be a member of The Cadet Program. On this form you will need to provide information for the cadet, such as date of birth, health insurance provider, and address/contact information. Additionally you must provide a photocopy of their birth certificate or other acceptable form of government issued identification document. (acceptable forms are listed on the form). All fields must be completed before a cadet can be entered into our national database.
CLOTHING ALLOWANCE AND AGREEMENT FORM
This form is meant to inform the cadet and parents about the cadet uniform. The uniform is loaned to a cadet and is actually property of the Department of National Defense. Upon leaving the program, the individual is required to return the uniform.
CENTRAL REGION CADET CODE OF CONDUCT
This code of conduct is an agreement that the cadet will adhere to the rules, restrictions, and guidelines of the Cadet Program.
In addition to the above forms, after being entered and sworn in as a cadet, you may have to fill out a Detailed Health Questionnaire, which goes into detail of limitations or medication your child may have. If your child has an allergy where an Anaphylactic reaction is possible, these additional forms must be filled out. This is to ensure that any party, at either local or national directed activities, are informed in case an emergency were to arise. If this form is needed our Administration Officer will provide the form to you.
For communication, we utilize a Facebook group for informing our cadets and parents on upcoming events and opportunities, and we encourage both to join! Please search for “Current Members of RCSCC 31 Lion” and answer the security questions and one of the Admins of the group will accept you.
