The aim of the Canadian Cadet Organization is: To develop in youth the attributes of good citizenship and leadership;
To promote physical fitness; To stimulate the interest of youth in the sea, land and air activities of the Canadian Forces. Cadets is a national organization for youth aged 12 - 18. As a part of the Sea Cadet program, RCSCC Lion provides exciting opportunities and challenges for today's youth. The Sea Cadet program is sponsored in partnership by the Department of National Defence and the civilian group of the Navy League of Canada. Cadets are not part of the Canadian Forces, nor is there any expectations for them to join the military.
